BMW R 1200 GS Rear Shock eX-CHANGE Lowered -25mm
Plug & Play Upgrade shock absorber with electronic damping adjustment.
This shock absorber uses a damping shim stack specifically developed for its application, high flow pistons, low friction seals, micro finished induction hardened quenched and tempered 16mm 42CrMo piston rods, best quality bearings and stainless-steel bushings. Every shock can be opened and serviced, or tuned for the customer's application.
This shock absorber fits plug and play into the motorbike with the original connector. This ensures that the original controls on the handlebar remain operational. The shock absorber contains the TracTive DDA damping valve (Dynamic Damping Adjustment) which is more stable, has a larger adjustment range and adjusts faster than the original valve.
This shock has a mixture of nitrogen and oil inside. The shock absorber is equipped with a so-called PDSII system against bottoming out. It has a 2nd damping piston mounted on top of the main damping piston. At the end of the ingoing shock absorber stroke, this 2nd damping piston enters a cup and creates an extra damping level. This happens only during the ingoing movement and only at high ingoing speeds. It effectivily is a cushion that absorbs the high ingoing energy and prevents a hard bottoming of the shock absorber. This leads to increased comfort and safety. At the same time the bottoming impacts on the motorbike frame are minimised, leading to less bent bolts and damages.
